Installation:

1. Turn Off Vehicle: Ensure the vehicle is off before beginning installation.
2. Mark Position: Use a washable marker or masking tape to mark the position of the emblem before removal.
3. Remove Existing Emblem: Use a heat gun or equivalent tool to remove the existing emblem from the endgate surface. A plastic flat-bladed tool can assist in the removal process.
4. Clean Residue: Clean any remaining residue with a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and clean, drinkable water. Wipe the surface dry with a clean, lint-free towel.
5. Ensure Proper Temperature: The part surface should be at 21°C (70°F) prior to installation. The vehicle should remain at this temperature for one hour after assembly to allow the adhesive to bond sufficiently.
6. Handle Adhesive Carefully: When removing protective liners from the adhesive tape, avoid touching the tape with your hands or allowing it to contact dirt or any foreign matter.
7. Position New Emblem: Carefully position the new emblem within the reference marks and place it on the prepared surface of the endgate.
8. Apply Pressure: Use the palm of your hand to apply strong pressure to all areas of the emblem to ensure full adhesion.
9. Remove Markings: Carefully remove any markings or tape used to locate the rear emblem. Clean the endgate surface as needed.
