VW Golf R LED Emblem Description,
The 3.5th and 4th Generation VW LED Emblems are made for Volkswagen Golf R models from 2018 to 2019. When ordering, please select your vehicle type and year from the options provided.
Two styles are available. One is the line style. The other is the full illuminated style. Each style has a different appearance. Please refer to the product photos for details.
Lighting Features
1. The 3.5th Generation VW LED Emblem has no animation. It turns on immediately and stays lit.
2. The 4th Generation VW LED Emblem has a simple animation. It turns on, flashes three times, and then stays lit.
Improvements in the 4th Generation VW Dynamic LED Emblem
The 4th Generation VW Dynamic LED Emblem is an upgrade from the 3.5th generation. It improves the design, waterproofing, installation process, and lighting effects.
Flat Back Plate Design
The back of the 4th generation emblem is completely flat. The 3.5th generation had 3mm to 5mm raised areas on the back. The flat design allows the emblem to sit better and install more cleanly.
Stronger Waterproofing
The 4th generation emblem uses hand-sealed waterproofing. This method creates a tighter and more reliable seal. It helps protect the emblem from rain, snow, and moisture. We also use hand-sealed waterproofing on our 2nd generation Audi LED emblem. It has proven to be more effective. That is why we use the same method on the 4th generation VW emblem.
Easier Installation
The 3.5th generation used a large plug to connect the emblem to the control box. This made it difficult to route the wires in tight spaces. The 4th generation uses pin-style connectors instead. This makes wire routing easier. Customers do not need to remove the radar during installation.
New Lighting Animation
The 3.5th generation turned on without any animation. The 4th generation adds a lighting sequence. The emblem turns on. It flashes three times. Then it stays lit. This creates a modern and upgraded appearance.
Installation Instructions
1. Connect the red wire to the positive terminal of the daytime running light, headlight plug, or taillight plug. Do not connect it to the brake light wire.
2. Connect the black wire to the ground.
Note: If the dynamic light flashes after installation, use a different power source. This happens when the voltage is unstable.
